Sham valley - Alchi – Lamayuru
Driving in the west of Leh Town by following Indus river till Lamayuru considered Sham Valley.
Sham Valley, also known as the “Apricot valley”, Traveling to Leh by road and including Srinagar Leh highway as well in your travel plan, you will be able to cover most of the tourist attractions here without going too far away from the highway. Little ahead of the village of Likir, towards Khaltse, the villages of Suspool and Hemis Shukpachan are right in the center of the valley. The village of Hemis is well connected by road whereas the road towards Suspool ends a little before the village from you will have to trek towards the valley called Indus Valley.

How to reach
By Air : Leh is the nearest airport and you can travel west of Leh to cover all the places as mentioned. Leh to Lamayuru is approx 125 Kms while as Alchi is 65 Kms and Nimo / confluence point is approx 35 Kms from Leh.
By Road Travelling from Leh to Kargil you will cover all the places as mentioned above. Though you have possibility to include Aryan Valley to reach Kargil or without Kargil.
