Leh Town
Leh, a fascinating streets and quaint bazaars. The main street is open and airy, with rows of shops on either side. The spectacular eight-storey Leh Palace looming above, overlooking the town, was built in the 16th century. Shanti Stupa offers an aerial view of Leh Valley with the backdrop of majestic Stok Kangri group of Peaks. Stok Palace by crossing river Indus worth visiting to see the Palace and its museum. Royal family still live here and some of the rooms are meant for commercial purposes. Shey palace – Thiksey monastery and Hemis Monastery – Spituk Gompa and Kali matat Temple - Phyang Gompa are major tourist spots around Leh.

How to reach
By Flight : Daily Direct flights are available from Delhi. Though you have possibility to get the flights from Chandigarh – Jammu and Srinagar. Couple of days in a week By Surface: You can travel overland from Manali to Leh in 2 – 3 days by staying en route at Jispa / Sarchu or Tsokar Lake. You can travel only from End of May or first week of June till Mid Oct. You have possibility to drive overland from Srinagar to Leh via Kargil. Need to staop at Kargil to avoid long distance and visit main tourist attractions en route.
